THE DEATH OF AN AMERICAN CITIZEN

On August 11th, 1971 the American Embassy in Paris, France made a report on the death of James Douglas Morrison. It is entitled “Report of the Death of an American Citizen”. This report was sent to Jim Morrison’s father Rear Admiral George Stephen (Steve) Morrison. However, it took 13 years to get this report signed and finished by Secretary of State George P. Shultz on February 17th, 1984!
If Jim was planning to disappear with an “Emergency Passport”, no matter which name was in. He was still the same “identified” person since he was filed with the same passport number. This might have allowed him to use credit cards and make any bank transactions. Keep in mind that the so called “Lost Passport” was officially over in 1984! This means that the “Emergency Passport” was over too in 1984…

Some time in 2004 Gerald Pitts contacted the Morrison Family Attorney at Law Jeffrey Forer to present “His” Jim Morrison. Pitts mailed a letter to Mr. Forer along with a video, pictures and the agreement he had signed with the supposed Jim Morrison.
In 2007 I spoke by telephone with Attorney at Law Jeffrey Forer about the supposed living Morrison and provided him with information that was never given by Gerald Pitts. Mr. Forer admitted that this was the first time someone presented him a “case” on Jim Morrison. He and the Morrison Family had heard a lot of stories about Jim over the years in which “sons” of Jim Morrison were included, but they never had the opportunity to see anything like DNA COLLECTED in a report I received from a Correctional Facility…

In 1967 Jim Morrison started talking about faking his death to bring media attention onto the band. This sort of speech happened for the first time publicly at the Fillmore in San Francisco. He also had said that he would drop out his rock star identity to become a business man. He then came up with the famous Mr. Mojo Risin anagram which would be eventually used to contact friends in secret…really?  Well, it is known that he told Danny Sugerman and Jerry Hopkins that he could see himself radically changing careers and reappearing as a suited and necked-tied businessman.

“What would happen if I were to suddenly die? How would it affect business, record sales and the press? Would people believe it?”

What kind of career was he talking about? Turning into a suited and necked-tied businessman? Why would he want to change careers? What did he have in mind? 
Well…go figure! In 1971 when Jim Morrison was in Paris he wrote “Jomo and the Smoothies” on a tape in which he and two American friends had recorded a 14 minutes session. This anagram reads as follows: “Mojo Dies at the Moons”. It has been previously explained the meaning of “Mojo”. Now the word “Moons” may have more than one meaning, but despite the differences between one to another there is still a strong connection…

CHAPTER 7
A LIVING LEGEND?

How many doubts have we had and, surely, still have about the facts around Jim Morrison’s death?  Did he really die? Why did the members of the band visit his grave for the first time in 1975 and not before? Why wasn’t an autopsy performed? Why didn’t Bill Siddons want to see the corpse? Why did Jim Morrison visit Père Lachaise Cemetery three days before his death? Why weren’t his remains removed when it was the 30th  anniversary of his death? Why have Ray Manzarek and Robby Krieger decided to tour again 30 years after Morrison’s death and not before? Why isn’t John Densmore involved in this new project? Why won’t Patricia Kennealy publish her book “Fire Heart” until the 50th anniversary of Jim’s death? Why has she decided to wait 20 more years to pass? Who is Gerald Pitts? Too many questions to only a very few answers. Let’s start by answering all these questions one by one, as crazy that it may seem. I will try to abstract myself from everything that has been said before and work out a new analysis of the facts attempting to get close to the truth or, at least, to unveil a great deal of it.
It is likely to be insignificant data for many of you to know whether Jim Morrison died in Paris or not. Even Ray Manzarek wrote in his book “Light My Fire”, that art is what really matters and it is not necessary to know under what circumstances Jim Morrison died.
I do agree that art is what matters, but the artist also matters as a human being, since his art comes from his inner feelings. And in the case of Jim, his art comes from his poetry. Nevertheless, to what extent have we understood his poetry? To what extend have we got deep into Shamanism? Isn’t it true that to become a shaman and follow his paths a symbolic body’s death must be celebrated to start a new life? Let’s try to find some answers... ( From Page 107 )

Gerald Pitts’ website shows a series of “official documents” that, he claims, to be the most relevant details proving that he is, in fact, Morrison’s true legal manager. In section “US DOC”, Pitts scanned the shipment and reception receipts of the documents that showed the discovery of Jim Morrison in Oregon; information that he sent to a FBI agent named D. W. Jones. The package that, hypothetically, this agent received in April 2001, contained the contract that Morrison signed together with Pitts and as a real proof Morrison agreed to stamp his thumbprint, including some photos taken before his disappearance and some updated ones. The package that was addressed to an FBI Agency, was sent to : 2400 Schuster Dr. Cheverly, MO 20781-1121. Unfortunately, no records exist referring to such an agency in Missouri, or an agent by the name of D.W.Jones, either. Even worse, Cheverly City is not in Missouri, but in Maryland. The FBI is in Maryland, but  is not at 2400 Schuster Dr. Gerald Pitts gave me lots of excuses to justify the mistake and keep his words. 
AR: Why did you send all of these Morrison documents to the FBI?
GP: “Well, I want to do everything legally, you know I’m dealing with a person who was declared dead 33 years ago and I’m doing business with him. He is alive. He faked his death. I have a friend who is a retired member of the CIA. I spoke with him about Jim Morrison and he recommended me to do it this way. He said that if they were interested in knowing more about the authenticity of Morrison, they will show up immediately. I waited for months and months. They never showed up”.
AR: Did you know Jim Morrison had the FBI at his back all the time?
GP: “Yes, I did but I needed to confirm that what I was doing was right. I also asked Jim for the thumb printing”.
AR: And that’s why your Jim also signed with his thumbprint? Please, give me break!. Did you know that under the FOIA you can easily request an individual’s fingerprints? Of course, it is not that easy. It may take you some time to respond to all of their questions, but you can get it.
GP: “ I tell you what Adriana, Jim asked for his finger prints at the FBI to clarify some personal things”.
AR: And maybe to be used in your signed Agreement with him.
GP: “They didn’t give it to him. His thumbprint is real, believe me. I know he is the real Jim Morrison”.
AR: What about the Missouri FBI Agency that does not exists?
GP: “Listen, I sent all these things to an address I had for the FBI. It was in 2001 and I have the receiver’s signature that confirms it”.
Once again, I could not help thinking about Dennis King’s words: “The more you talk to them, the more detail they elaborate”. Anyway, it is necessary to underline that he hesitated a lot while replying some of the questions. Long silences and many uhmm, uhmm were produced during the phone call before giving an answer. Gerald Pitts also confessed he did not know anything about Jim Morrison before he discovered the singer in Oregon; he never ever thought about the chance to get involved in a situation like this. He emphasized it was his son, Shane, who told him about Jim Morrison, about his international fame as “The Doors” frontman and his talent as poet and writer.
Possibly, it might be true what he says, but it is a very strange the fact that a person, like Gerald Pitts who was in charge of the management of a newspaper for more than thirty years, had never heard of “The Doors”. In addition, I asked him what other things his Jim Morrison does apart from breeding and trading horses. Pitts answered Jim still writes and, often, he listens to the albums he recorded with “The Doors”.
GP: “Jim asked me to publish a poetry book and / or a book biography. I’ve been in the publishing business for so many years with a newspaper here in Oregon, but I don’t know anything about books. I’m not interested in that. I’m interested in breaking the news with this multi million dollar story for my Rodeo Motion Picture Company. There’s billions not millions, you know what I mean, there’s billions of dollars made on this guy Jim Morrison, but the problem we have here is Marsha. She declined an offer from Columbia Pictures a few days ago, unfortunately”.
